PARENT MENTORING

Being a parent mentor is a way to share your experience, knowledge and expertise with parents of children with special needs.  You will be trained to help parents communicate effectively with their child’s school, help them to understand the process of IEP meetings and empower them to be the voice for their children’s needs.

If you are:
  • A good listener
  • Able to problem solve
  • Able to work together with team members
  • Willing to meet with parents and attend IEP meetings
  • Are able to build positive working relationships with family members and professionals (i.e. teachers, principals, therapists)

What will you do as a parent mentor?

  • You will meet with individual parents/families and offer support during their IEP meetings
  • You will help parents become effective communicators with those who work with their children with special needs.
  • You will share your expertise, experience and knowledge with other parents

JOIN OUR PARENT MENTOR TEAM TODAY.
WE OFFER PAID MENTORING AND TRAVEL REIMBURSEMENTS!
